During the 2017 St. Paul Winter Carnival celebration the 1st National Bank sign above the St. Paul skyline is lit blue in honor of the reign of King Boreas.
At the end of the Winter Carnival the Vulcans overthrow King Boreas, ending the reign of winter over the city. To commemorate their victory, the 1st National Bank sign is returned to its usual red color.
The St. Paul skyline is backed by the searchlights for the 2017 Red Bull Crashed Ice finale at the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
