3 Bridges, 1 Lock and an historic waterfall -- The city of Minneapolis was born and raised on the river. As it flows under the 95-year-old 3rd Avenue Bridge and over St. Anthony Falls, through Lock #1 and under the 19th century Stone Arch Bridge, and finally under the brand new 35W Bridge, the mighty Mississippi still brings life to the city.
The St. Paul skyline bends away from the underside of the Wabasha Street bridge on Raspberry Island and is mirrored in the tranquil water of the mighty Mississippi at dawn.
